David Brown MD

Dr.-Brown-rsDr. David Brown grew up in Anderson, Indiana. He attended Heritage Christian High School in Indianapolis and graduated in 1983. Dr. Brown attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. At ORU, he was a 1987 GTE Academic All-American in swimming. Four years later, Dr. Brown received his M.D. degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Brown interned in Indianapolis, Indiana at Methodist Hospital from 1991-92. He then resided in Cleveland, Ohio, where he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1995. Dr. Brown is board certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Brown's wife, Amy, is from Indianapolis. She is a registered nurse, a graduate of Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.

Dr. Brown worked at Great Lakes Eye Care from July 1995 until December 1999. He then served as a mission ophthalmologist at Tenwek Hospital, Kenya, Africa and returned to Great Lakes Eye Care in September 2001. He is board certified  in ophthalmology.

He and his wife, Amy, have six children, Davis, Anna, Evan, Ivan, Grace and Ella. They attend Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church.
