Home arrow Refractive Surgeries

At Great Lakes Eye Care we feel it is important to stay on the cutting edge of technology in order to offer our patients the best care possible. It is important however, that we determine which of the new technologies are truly beneficial and which ones prove to be less helpful than originally thought.

Currently we are excited about two new options for patients who struggle with reading glasses or presbyopia. (Presbyopia: Diminished power of accommodation arising from loss of elasticity of the crystaline lens and/or loss of ciliary muscle function, as occurs with aging; usually becomes significant after age 45)

Near Vision CK (Conductive Keratoplasty) & Crystalens Accommodating Intraocular Lens allow us the option to eliminate the need for reading glasses in many situations. Along with the procedures we currently offer such as LASIK, Custom LASIK, & Intralase we feel we can now offer our patients many options in refractive surgery.

Please feel free to contact our LASIK Coordinator, Marilyn H., at 269-428-3300 x 299.
